SWRO 200

SWRO 200 Desalination Plant

The SWRO 200 Desalination Plant is part of our EcoMarine range, a line of desalination systems designed to operate in demanding marine environments, ensuring stable, efficient performance with low energy consumption.

Available in either containerized or skid-mounted versions, this desalination plant can easily adapt to different types of installations, from temporary projects to permanent infrastructures.

Thanks to its modular design and in-house manufacturing, the SWRO 200 Desalination Plant is delivered as a plug & play system, fully factory-tested and ready for rapid installation.

The SWRO 200 Desalination Plant has been designed for small and medium-scale projects where potable water needs to be produced efficiently and safely from seawater.

This type of desalination system is widely used in sectors where access to fresh water is limited or nonexistent.

The main applications of the SWRO 200 Desalination Plant include:

  • Small coastal municipalities
  •  Boutique hotels and small resorts
  •  Campgrounds and tourist complexes
  •  Yacht clubs and marinas
  •  Remote coastal residential developments
  •  Coastal agricultural facilities
  •  Humanitarian projects or island communities

Containerized SWRO 200 – EcoMarine 200

The containerized SWRO 200 Desalination Plant integrates all desalination systems within a maritime container, custom-adapted and conditioned in our in-house workshops.

This format allows the plant to be easily transported and minimizes installation time.

Key Advantages:

  • Rapid installation: connect and start producing water immediately
  • Compact and easily transportable system
  • Scalable for future expansions
  • Simplified operation and maintenance
  • Option for solar or hybrid energy operation

Skid-Mounted SWRO 200

The skid-mounted SWRO 200 Desalination Plant is designed for installations that have a technical room available or need to be integrated into larger water treatment systems.

This configuration provides maximum flexibility in plant layout and design.

Main Features:

  • Easy access for oped-Mounted SWRO 200ration and maintenance
  • Modular design adaptable to different spaces
  • Equipment fabricated and assembled in-house
  • Seamless integration with existing auxiliary systems
  • Ideal for projects with available civil works

1. Pretreatment

Pretreatment is a critical stage to ensure the proper operation of the reverse osmosis system.

It includes:

  • Chemical dosing (biocides and anti-scalants)
  • Bed filtration using media such as anthracite or silica sand
  • Final microfiltration with cartridge filters
  • This stage protects the membranes and optimizes the efficiency of the SWRO 200 Desalination Plant.

2. High-Pressure Pumping

The SWRO 200 Desalination Plant uses high-pressure pumps designed to operate between 55 and 70 bar, generating the necessary pressure for seawater to pass through the reverse osmosis membranes.

These pumps are selected to ensure:

  • High energy efficiency
  • Stable operation
  • Extended membrane lifespan

3. SWRO Reverse Osmosis System

The heart of the SWRO 200 Desalination Plant is the reverse osmosis membrane system.

This system includes:

  • High-pressure membrane modules
  • Water recovery between 40 % and 45 %
  • Hydraulically optimized design to minimize pressure loss

This process removes salts, minerals, and other contaminants from seawater, producing potable water of high quality.

4. Energy Recovery

The SWRO 200 Desalination Plant can be equipped with optional energy recovery systems to reduce the overall energy consumption of the plant.

These systems may include:

  • Pressure exchangers
  • Turbochargers
  • Energy recovery is particularly important for projects where energy efficiency is a priority.

5. Post-Treatment

Once desalinated, the water undergoes final conditioning to meet the desired quality standards.

Post-treatment may include:

  • Mineralization adjustment
  • Water disinfection
  • Conditioning according to the final application
  • CIP (Clean-In-Place) and flushing systems

Water production: 200 m³/day
System recovery: 40–45 %
Feedwater TDS: 35,000–45,000 mg/L
Operating pressure: 55–70 bar
Plant configuration: available in containerized or skid-mounted versions
Energy supply: conventional, solar, or hybrid systems

  • In-house manufacturing
  • Modular and scalable design
  • Compact and robust equipment
  • Factory-tested plants
  • Optimized energy consumption
  • Extensive international experience in desalination
  • Rapid plug & play installation
  • Remote monitoring and after-sales support
