Internals and sight glasses

Lower distributors:

  • Collector arms: suitable for water-only backwash – economical – good performance – recommended by default.
  • Nozzle plate:
  • Better distribution.
  • Necessary for air and water backwash.
  • Higher price.

Upper diffusers:

  • FRP or Metal.

Sight glasses: highly recommended to verify the proper expansion of the media during backwash and ensure correct backwashing.

The filtration fronts are designed based on the customer’s flow rate and quality requirements. I’mWATER can provide guidance on system sizing.

The system can include a valve front, either manual or automated. The automatic valves can be motorized or pneumatic.

Valve boxes for pneumatic system control are also supplied, as well as air compressors if required.

The filtration and automatic backwash system is controlled by a PLC installed in the electrical panel of the facility.
